About the Vegas Connection
Dino Vera has performed with pop icons Jimi Hendrix and James Taylor. He spent years in New Orleans, honing his skills while playing with internationally known recording artist Fats Domino and Bourbon Street greats The Meters, and on the road in exotic locales like St. Martin in the Caribbean and Dallas. His vocal skills are as multi-faceted as his experience, enabling him to sing Sinatra swingers and crooners, Jimmy Reed blues, and rhythm and blues hits in a definitely Ray Charles-tinged soulful groove. But until April of 2008, he had never been in Las Vegas, even to pass through or drop a buck in a slot machine.
Urged on by knowledgable friends, Dino found a connection into the top Vegas agent, another connection for a place to stay, and in a short time, the Vegas Connection manifested into reality! Thanks to Dino's shmoozing skills, we were offered a night at the newest and most upscale hotel on the Strip, the Palazzo, upscale addition to the Venitian. The venue is a small lounge directly off the waiting line for Jersey Boys, the hit musical. Our performance that evening earned us this return engagement, and a start-up was born!

Our return engagement was a great sucsess, the customers loved us, the sound crew loved us, and the agent loved us. We are now on the substitute rotation for the hotel and the agency, and we will be back. Watch this space...
